New Muvar – How Can I test?

April 17, 2007

Hi Gang,

There is a new software. In fact it’s not new. I was a original betatester for the first version.

It’s called Muvar

Now the creator of the software is releasing a new version I would like to test on my sales page.

The fun is it is a physical product, so I have to wait.

More than that, my country India, is not being served by the merchant account.

James, if you happen to see this trackback can you help me take up this special offer?

Of course, any software comes with it’s own learning curve and I could not make it work with my firefox browser.

May be the bugs are removed in this edition.

May be, just may be.

If I get this on the special offer, I will for sure share the results with you my blog readers.

Stay tuned,

Edward Santosh

Question For James Information Products On DVD

March 4, 2007

Here are my questions, James:

  1. How do I convert an ebook to be delivered on a DVD?
  2. Do you think Camtasia videos is still a better way of delivering content thru DVD?
  3. What is the one advantage in producing Info products thru DVD other than that the physical products reduces refunds?
  4. Do I have to use gizmos like flash animation & cartoon characters to add jazz to my DVD product?
  5. What is the software you recommend for producing DVDs? I know that you outsource the actual production & distribution. I would like to know the software and other utilities you personally use.
  6. Do you outsource the jewel-case design or you do it yourself?
  7. What do you recommend me, an one man show (for jewel-case design) ?
  8. Is there any specific markets which has a liking to DVD based info products?
  9. How much time do you spend on researching for a new DVD product?
  10. How much time do you actually spend on creating a new DVD product?
  11. Is there any specific things I have to decide on before I start creating a DVD product?
  12. On what reason or reasons is a DVD product an absolute NO? (Meaning you decide on other formats)
  13. On what reason or reasons a DVD product an absolute GO? (Meaning you won’t release it in any other format)

There you go my baker’s dozen for you. I’d love to hear what’s your take on this.

Hey Guys,

When James asked to pose him questions on Information product creation, I typed the above questions.

I’ll keep you posted on his replies too,

Edward Santosh

PS: I am having a whale of my time creating information products and writing sales letter for the worst client I can ever have (that’s me, fyi ;) .

Why I don’t Want Your Freebies James…

March 1, 2007

Hi Guys,

It’s been a while since I contacted you. As I am busy with my own product creation and writing copy for that, I am not in a position to post regularly.

Now a person I respect very much has announced to give away a DVD player for anyone who gives a trackback to his blog.

His name is James Brausch. He is a popular Internet Guru.

James, I find it odd you are giving away a Free DVD player/Recorder.

You are totally against people wasting time on TV.

In fact I got rid of my TV 4 years back and regretted not a single day.

So even if you choose me, I will have to request you to keep it yourself. Or give it to some hapless soul.

Of course, I’ll take books any time for that matter. But that’s offlimits now.

Sincerely,

Edward Santosh

3 Ingredients Of A Successful Marketing Mindset

you with today’s edition of podcast titled:

3 Ingredients Of A Successful Marketing Mindset

The podcasts are becoming more and more infrequent.

I promised you three a week minimum.

Almost half of this week is gone and this is my

first podcast for this week.

As I am sucked in by more and more work for my

mentors and my clients, I find it increasingly

difficult to come to you.

Anyway, let’s see the 3 most important ingredients

of a successful marketing mindset.

1. Calculate The Lifetime Value Of Your Client:

When you know it exactly, you know how much you

can afford to spend on gaining a new customer.

Rather than shooting in the dark, you can move

forward confidently.

2. What Kind Of Guarantee You Can Give?

If you give a 30 day guarantee, see if you can

give 60 day one. If you give 60 day, see if you

can give a 90 day one.

In short give the longest guarantee period that

you can give. Of course that goes without saying

you sell great products and services.

3. Do you do Word Of Mouth?

If you want to use the cheapest mode of advertising,

then this is the way to go.

Train your clients to refer you, recommend you

and carry your flag, you have hit gold.

Think about it.

Do something about it.

Classic 5 Direct Marketing Mistakes – Part 2:

you with today’s edition of podcast titled:

Classic 5 Direct Marketing Mistakes – Part 2:

Welcome back to the second edition of the

classic mistakes, marketers enjoy doing.

Enjoy — yes.

Otherwise so many of them won’t be doing it

right?

4. Know Thy Offer : How many of us jump into writing

the sales letter even without deciding on the offer.

Is it any wonder your sales copy rambles like

a rudderless ship?

5. Know Thy Benefits: How many of us spluttered the

price before explaining benefits only to see sales

falling thru the cliff?

Here are a couple of bonus points for you.

I am feeling generous here. ;)

Know Thy Right Price: How many of the marketers test

different price points to find out that the market

is more comfortable paying a higher price than a

lower one. How nice… :D

Know Thy Test: Most marketers commit this mistake.

Big time. They don’t test their malings. At the most

some will test is the headline. But this is the 5%,

the rest don’t care. How sad…

You can test offers, test the list, test the headline,

test the responsive device and a tons more.

However if you want to create sales copy the right

way, you know where to go right?

That’s me.
